Class 4 have a message board on their school learning platform. Mr Price, their teacher, can read every message. This week the class are using it to pick teams of 4 for the sports day relay race.

Writing in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS online can look like shouting.
Online, people cannot see your face or hear your voice, so a “joke” can easily hurt.
Messages and photos can be saved, copied and shared with lots of people. They can stay online for a long time.
Leaving someone out on purpose, making fun of them again and again, and sharing photos to embarrass them are all kinds of bullying. When it happens using phones, tablets or computers it is called online bullying.
If you see unkind messages: do not reply unkindly, keep the messages, tell a trusted adult and use the report button if there is one.
Most chat and social media apps say users must be at least 13 years old. That is why Class 4 use a board that their teacher can check.
