Class blog: Elis’s poem and the comments waiting to be checked
The school, the pupils, the poem and the comments are invented for practice. The address in comment 4 is invented.
1. The blog post
Year 5 at Ysgol Glan Morfa have a class blog. Their teacher, Mr Morgan, checks every comment before it appears on the blog. Elis posted this poem after a class trip to the harbour at Aberaeron.

The Sea at Aberaeron, by Elis
The waves come galloping like horses, white manes flying in the wind. They crash against the harbour wall and roll the pebbles round and round. The gulls are shouting at the boats, the boats are nodding back. And when the tide goes out at night, the sea is quiet, sleepy, black.
2. Comments waiting for Mr Morgan to check
These 7 comments have been sent in. Nobody can see them yet except Mr Morgan, and today, you.
Comment 1 · Cerys good
Comment 2 · Guest this is so boring. who even writes poems about the sea lol
Comment 3 · Tomos I love the line about the waves galloping like horses because I could really picture the white manes!
Comment 4 · Jac nice poem. come round mine after school, I live at 12 Heol y Môr next to the chip shop
Comment 5 · Anon123 Elis’s poems are always rubbish. Everyone in our class thinks so.
Comment 6 · Megan I liked the rhyme at the end, but the middle felt a bit short. Maybe you could add what the sea sounds like at night, so we can hear it too.
