Audience: Year 4 pupils, who are just starting to learn about circuits. The slides will be shown on the classroom board.

How to make a bulb light up

you need a cell a bulb and two wires. the circuit has to be a complete loop if their is a gap the electricity cant flow and the bulb wont light

Conductors and insulators

Metals like copper and steel are conductors. Plastic is a good conductor, thats why wires are covered in plastic. Wood is also a conductor. A coin conducts electricity becuase its made of metal. Some materials let electricity pass through them and some do not and we tested lots of them in class with a circuit and a bulb and it was really fun.

Switches

A switch lets you turn the circut on and off.

When the switch is open the bulb is on!!!!!!

On slide 3, every sentence is in a different font and colour. On slide 1, the writing is small and pale yellow on white.
