dcf.cymru stimulus sheet · Welsh · Year 11
Every person, account, company and post on this sheet is invented. The phone number is from the range Ofcom keeps for TV and film, so it belongs to nobody. Nobody real is being described.
Print one per pupil or per pair. No computers or phones needed. An English summary of each profile is at the bottom, for you. Pupils must not search for, name or discuss the real accounts of anyone they know. If a pupil says something about them online is upsetting them, take their name and pass it to the class teacher or the school’s safeguarding lead the same day.

Elin (public account, 1,204 followers; bio: Elin, 16, Caernarfon, Urdd youth club, drama, film and coffee). Her short film is shortlisted at a youth film festival; she volunteered for a week at an Urdd camp with young children; and in September she posted a photo in school uniform in front of the school sign, with the location tagged and the caption “First day of Year 12! Bus at 8.10 every morning from the stop near the house.”
Rhys (public account, 3,870 followers; bio in English: “Rhys. 17. Merthyr. Gamer. Don't @ me.”). He now streams games in Welsh every Friday (“games, chat and nothing nasty”) and raised £640 for Wales Air Ambulance in a 24-hour stream. When he was 13 he mocked another boy from his class under a photo, and posted “who even speaks welsh anymore lol”. Both old posts are still up.
Carys (professional profile). She presents an hour-long music programme every fortnight on a community radio station. Her mobile number and full date of birth are visible to everyone.
