Print: this sheet, one per pupil, and the stimulus sheet “Tri ymgeisydd, tri phroffil”, one per pupil or pair. No computers or phones are needed — phones stay away. An English summary of the three profiles is at the bottom of the stimulus sheet.
Run: 5 min read the job advert and the three profiles · 5 min vocabulary match (Step 1) · 15 min judge the three profiles in the table (Step 2) · 5 min decide who gets an interview (Step 3) · 5 min rewrite Rhys’s bio (Step 4) · 20 min the discursive paragraph (Step 5).
Collect: this sheet. Checks you can make without any Welsh: the Step 1 grid should read 1f 2j 3c 4h 5d 6g 7b 8i 9a 10e; the Step 4 bio should not contain a town, an age or a school; and the Step 5 writing should be 180–220 words and contain the three phrases Pe bawn i, Cafodd … ei (or ei hysgrifennu, ei bostio) and Er bod.
Safeguarding: pupils work only on the invented profiles. Nobody is asked to show, describe or search for their own accounts or anyone else’s. If a pupil says something about them online is upsetting them, say “come and see me at the end”, take their name, and pass it to the class teacher or the school’s safeguarding lead the same day.
Mae cwmni teledu yn edrych ar broffiliau cyhoeddus tri pherson ifanc sydd wedi gwneud cais am swydd haf. Rydych chi'n mynd i farnu pa argraff mae pob proffil yn ei rhoi, pa risgiau sydd ynddo, a sut gallai pob person wella ei ôl troed digidol. Yn olaf, rydych chi'n ysgrifennu darn trafod am hunaniaeth ar-lein.
A TV company is looking at the public profiles of three young people who have applied for a summer job. You will judge what impression each profile gives, what risks it contains, and how each person could improve their digital footprint. Finally, you write a discursive piece about online identity.

(a) Pe baech chi'n gweithio i Gwmni Teledu Tonnau, pwy fyddech chi'n ei wahodd i gyfweliad, a pham?
(b) A yw'n deg barnu Rhys ar sail sylwadau a ysgrifennodd pan oedd e'n 13 oed? Rhowch un rheswm o blaid ac un yn erbyn.
Ailysgrifennwch fio Rhys yn Gymraeg, mewn 25 gair neu lai. Rhaid iddo ddangos pwy yw Rhys nawr, heb enw tref, oed nac ysgol.
