Planning a Shape Page for a Class E-book

Our class is making an e-book about shapes. Each of you will plan one page. Good digital makers plan on paper first.

While the register is called: write your name and the date on your activity page. Look at the four shapes in Task 1.

Starter question: What do you see on a page in a book or on a tablet?

DCF: Producing → Creating digital content No tablets today · we plan on paper

Your page needs a big title, a big picture and a sentence

First we count sides and corners. Then we look at two screens, match buttons to jobs, and plan our own page.

Sides

The straight lines around a shape.

Corners

Where two straight sides meet.

Bold

Words made thicker and darker so they are easy to read.

LNF: Literacy → Writing → Vocabulary, spelling, grammar Word bank: triangle, square, rectangle, circle
