Skills for Life: Everyday Law
Mae disgrifiad y cymhwyster yn Saesneg yn unig, gan ei fod wedi ei gymryd o fanyleb Saesneg CBAC.
Everyday law is a 20 hour Skills for Life unit about how the law touches daily life: legal terms such as contract and consent, rights and responsibilities at home, work, in housing and as a consumer, where to get legal help, and the consequences of keeping or breaking the law. It is one unit that learners combine with others into a Skills for Life or Skills for Work Award, Certificate or Diploma. Digital demand is low. The only required digital link is judging the reliability of advice sources, which in practice includes websites; online research, flowcharts and screenshots of support services are suggested, not required.

Judging the reliability of online sources of legal advice
At Level 1 learners identify sources of legal help and describe what each offers, and at Level 2 they compare sources of legal advice for purpose, reliability and accessibility and justify which suits a given problem. The criteria do not say the sources must be online, but the suggested activity compares websites, charities and services, and screenshots of support services reviewed are a listed source of evidence.

Making a flowchart of steps to deal with a legal problem
A suggested Level 1 and Level 2 activity is a flowchart showing the steps to take when facing an everyday legal problem, such as reporting to an employer or contacting Citizens Advice, and completed flowcharts are a listed source of evidence. It supports learning outcomes 3 and 4 but no criterion requires a flowchart, and it can be drawn on paper or with software.

Linking contracts, consent and data protection to digital life
The amplification uses contract, for example signing an agreement for a mobile phone, and consent as key legal terms, and a suggested workplace visit looks at how data protection law is applied. These give teachers a natural link to online terms and conditions and personal data, but the pack never requires online contexts, so this is taught context rather than an assessed digital skill.
